By The Numbers: The New Students

Groton is welcoming 104 new students this fall, 11 of whom identify as international.
Those 11 students represent five different countries (and one special administrative region).
The remaining 93 students represent 21 different states.
The most represented of which are Massachusetts, New York, California, Connecticut, New Jersey, and North Carolina.
The majority of the new students are entering the 2nd and 3rd forms, with 4th and 5th receiving thirteen and six students, respectivly.
Of the new students, about twice as many went to either private or parochial schools than public schools.
The three most represented groups, private and public school students from Massachusetts and private school students from New York, make up almost 45 percent of all new students.
But almost half of those students from Massachusetts are day students—twice as many as last year.
